Three things that matter in November
Loy Krathong falls on 24 November 2026 in most sources, with Yi Peng lanterns in Chiang Mai on 24 and 25 November. Hotels there fill early. Several sources disagree by a day, so confirm before booking.
Japan's leaves are late this year. The Japan Meteorological Corporation forecast has Tokyo's red maples near 28 November and Kyoto's near 11 December. A trip in the first two weeks of November will mostly miss peak colour.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi: EASA, the European aviation safety agency, was warning airlines off parts of Gulf airspace until at least 16 November 2026 when we last checked (4 November). Flights are running, but ask your airline about changes.
Which destination is cheapest in November?
