Maldives for Two Under ₹1.5 Lakh Including Flights: Two Plans That Work (2026)

Quick answer: With ₹1.5 lakh for two including flights, you have two sensible Maldives plans: a better local-island stay (5 nights, nicer guesthouse, more excursions) which fits from every city we price, or a split stay with 1 night at a resort and 3 on a local island, which fits from Mumbai only if the resort transfer comes in at the low end, and is tight from other cities. Two resort nights plus two island nights comes to about ₹1.57 lakh from Mumbai, so it does not fit. A resort week is far out of reach: the cheapest resort night we found is about ₹40,000.

Option A: a better local-island stay (5 nights)

This uses a more comfortable guesthouse (₹3,500 to ₹6,000 a night), meals at ₹1,500 to ₹2,500 a day for two, a transfer, and 3 to 4 excursions (snorkelling, a sandbank, a manta or whale-shark trip, a sunset cruise) at roughly ₹10,000 to ₹14,000 in total. Option B: the split stay (1 night resort + 3 nights local island)

A split stay gives you a night of the private-island picture without paying for a week of it. It assumes Villa Nautica (about ₹40,000 a night room only; about 20 minutes by speedboat from the airport) for 1 night, a speedboat transfer at US$100 to US$300 per person return (a planning range; sources vary and the resort quotes the actual price), then 3 nights in a guesthouse. Resort rates are the lowest room-only rate Google Hotels listed for one night on 4–5 November 2026, rounded to the nearest ₹1,000. They are a starting point: rates change by date and are higher in peak weeks, and you should check whether a quote includes service charge and tax. Resort meals for the night are not included. The dollar figures use ₹97 to the dollar for planning.

Which option should a couple choose?

Choose Option A if you want to snorkel, explore and keep a buffer. Choose Option B if one night in a beach villa with a sunset view matters more than a fifth day, and you are flying from Mumbai or can find a low fare. If neither fits, step up to Maldives under ₹2 lakh or down to under ₹1 lakh.

Is Villa Nautica the cheapest resort?
