OBLU Ailafushi, Siyam World and Meeru sell all-inclusive plans. What each covers, what costs extra and whether it is worth it for a couple.

Quick answer: All-inclusive in the Maldives usually covers meals and a set of drinks at the resort, so the price you see is closer to the price you pay. In our list, OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi (about 15 minutes by complimentary speedboat) and Siyam World (domestic flight plus boat, or seaplane) sell all-inclusive stays, and Meeru sells full board and an "All-Inclusive Plus" plan. Is all-inclusive worth it?

On a private island there is no other restaurant, so food and drink are priced high. Our money guide explains why all-inclusive often wins on a longer stay. For a 3-night trip, compare the plan with half board for two.

What does all-inclusive leave out?

Typically spa treatments, some premium restaurants, excursions, and the seaplane or speedboat transfer unless the resort includes it. Check the exact list in writing.

Is there an all-inclusive option under ₹2 lakh?

Can vegetarians and Jain guests use all-inclusive?

Ask when booking. Meeru lists an Indian restaurant, Tandoori Flames, in a Hotels.com listing, and several resorts in our list have Indian dishes.
