Bali 7 Days Itinerary for Indians: Ubud, Uluwatu and Nusa Penida

A realistic 7-day Bali itinerary: Ubud first, then the south and Uluwatu, with Nusa Penida as a day trip. Includes drive times so you do not waste days in traffic.

Quick answer: Spend 3 nights in Ubud, 3 nights in the south (Uluwatu or Seminyak), and take Nusa Penida as a day trip. Order matters: Bali traffic is heavy, so move once, not repeatedly.

What is the best order for 7 days in Bali?

Sources recommend a geographic order to limit transit: arrive, go up to Ubud for culture and rice terraces, then move south to Uluwatu or the beach belt. Guides give these rough drive times: airport to Ubud about 60 to 90 minutes, Ubud to Uluwatu about 2 hours (leave before 3 pm or after 7 pm to avoid traffic), airport to Uluwatu about 1 hour.

Day 1: Arrive and settle in Ubud

Transfer to Ubud and keep the evening light. See Ubud in 3 days for the plan.

Day 2 and 3: Ubud

Rice terraces, Monkey Forest, waterfalls and a sunrise at Mount Batur if you want it. See Mount Batur sunrise trek.

Day 4: Move south

Transfer to Uluwatu in the morning. Spend the afternoon at your villa or a beach.

Day 5: Uluwatu temple, beaches and Kecak dance

See the Uluwatu itinerary.

Day 6: Nusa Penida day trip

A fast boat from Sanur takes about 30 to 50 minutes. See Nusa Penida day trip from Bali.

Day 7: Free morning, fly out

Allow extra time for the airport transfer, since traffic varies.

How much does a 7-day Bali trip cost?

Trripah's October 2026 figures put a week at about ₹80,000 to ₹1.5 lakh per couple on the ground, plus flights of about ₹48,000 to ₹55,000 per person, so roughly ₹1.75 lakh to ₹2.6 lakh per couple including flights. See Bali trip cost from India for the breakdown and cheapest flights to Bali from India for fares.

Where should you stay?

See where to stay in Bali. You will also pay the Bali tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per person.

When should you go?

The dry season is roughly April to October. See the best time to visit Bali.
