Vietnam Hotel Prices 2026: What Indians Actually Pay — Hostels, 3-Star, Resorts & Ha Long Cruises

'Vietnam hotel price' is a breakout search in India this month. Here is the honest 2026 price guide — what a bed in a Hanoi hostel, a 3-star in Hoi An, a Da Nang beach resort and a Ha Long Bay cruise cabin actually cost in rupees, plus how to book smart.

Vietnam's reputation for being cheap is mostly true — but 'mostly' hides a wide range. A backpacker can sleep for ₹500 a night while a beachfront resort suite runs ₹25,000. With 'vietnam hotel price' now a breakout search in India, here is exactly what accommodation costs in 2026, in rupees, so you can budget with confidence.

Hostels and budget guesthouses

Vietnam has one of Asia's best hostel scenes. A dorm bed in Hanoi, Hoi An or Ho Chi Minh City runs ₹400–800 per night; a private room in a family guesthouse is ₹900–1,600. Quality is high and breakfast is often included. This is how budget travellers keep a week under ₹70,000 all-in — see the 7-day Vietnam itinerary costs.

3-star hotels (the Indian family sweet spot)

Most Indian travellers book here. A clean, central 3-star with pool and breakfast costs ₹1,800–3,200 per night for a double in Hanoi, Da Nang or Hoi An. This bracket gives you the best value-to-comfort ratio in Vietnam and is what most of our Vietnam packages are built around.

4-star and beach resorts

Da Nang's My Khe beach strip and Phu Quoc island are where the resort money goes. A good 4-star runs ₹3,500–6,500 per night; international-brand 5-star beach resorts (Marriott, InterContinental, Radisson) run ₹9,000–25,000 depending on season and room. Da Nang offers some of the best resort value in all of Southeast Asia.

Ha Long Bay cruise cabins — priced separately

This is the line item people forget. A Ha Long Bay overnight cruise is priced per cabin, not per hotel night, and it is a meaningful chunk of the trip:

- Standard 2D/1N cruise: ₹4,500–7,000 per person - Premium / 4-star cruise: ₹8,000–13,000 per person - Luxury 3D/2N cruise: ₹15,000–28,000 per person

It is worth paying up one tier here — the cabin and the food are the whole experience. The cruise is the centrepiece of our Vietnam Discovery Tour.

When prices spike

Vietnamese hotel rates jump during Tet (Vietnamese New Year, late Jan/Feb), Christmas–New Year, and the July–August domestic-travel peak. They are lowest in May–June and September. Cross-check this against weather in our best time to visit Vietnam guide before locking dates.

How to pay — and avoid losing money

Most hotels take cards, but guesthouses and many cruises want cash (dong or USD). Read the Vietnam currency guide for Indians so you are not caught short. And remember: booking a hotel-plus-cruise-plus-transfer package usually beats stitching it together yourself, because operators get bulk rates you cannot.
