Places to Visit Outside India in October: Himalayan Views, Dubai Cools Down and Autumn Begins

October is peak season in Bhutan and Nepal, the month Dubai becomes comfortable again, and the start of autumn in Korea and Japan. Bali and Sri Lanka still have rain.

Quick answer: October is excellent for Bhutan and Nepal (clear Himalayan skies after the monsoon), Dubai (heat finally easing from the second half), Jordan and Egypt (comfortable), Hanoi (the start of the best months), Uzbekistan and South Korea (autumn begins). Bali's dry season is ending and Sri Lanka has passing showers.

Himalayan trips book first

October is the busiest month for Bhutan and Nepal. Flights into Paro are limited and daily visitor fees apply for Bhutan, so book permits and flights before hotels.

Is Dubai worth it in October?

Yes, mostly from mid-month. Evenings are pleasant, and prices are below December.

Do Indians need a visa for Bhutan?

Indians do not need a visa but need a permit and pay a daily Sustainable Development Fee, which was 1,200 rupees per night when we last checked.
